I’ve applied to so many scholarships, and honestly, after a while, it gets disheartening not hearing anything back. I really poured my heart into it for this writing prompt. I took my time writing like I was telling my story to a close friend, just being real, like I was talking to a friends of mine I haven't seen in months. When I saw the email saying I won, I couldn’t stop smiling honestly. It was such a rush of happiness and relief. It felt like all those hours writing, all the waiting, all the doubt, it finally paid off!!
